Default My first rental

I am so excited. I just rented/sold my points for the very first time. Granted, it was to some close friends, but they told me today that they were planning to go to Disney World in 10 days (crazy, right? hahaha), and asked for my help in booking everything. It just so happened that there was studio availability at Saratoga Springs for all their days (even crazier, right? hahaha), and they liked it. I charged $14 per point. Is that reasonable? In the comparisons, staying at Saratoga with my points them would cost around $125 more than staying at Art of Animation.

If you feel it's reasonable, then it is. I think people worry too much about how much they "should" ask for. If you are happy, and they are happy, then it's all good.

BTW - we rented to my wife's cousin for $10 a point.

People who rent to family and friends have different expectations of what rental prices are vs. renting to the general public. So as grayandry said, if you are happy, then it is reasonable. That said, the general rental market is anywhere from $17 and up depending on the person renting, time of year and resort. Of course, you will always find lower prices for casual renters and distressed points.

I think that was very reasonable . They got a great studio. And you got a fair price. It is about what. Davidís would have given you. Congratulations

a broker's payout to an owner is contingent upon broker actually booking a reservation with the owner's points. no guarantees. i understand that brokers have languishing ssr points recently. this was discussed recently in another thread.

Thank you all for your feedback. I am so excited, but since everything happened really fast, I really didn't have time to research more. I certainly didn't want to loose the studio at SSR if they wanted it. In fact, while asking them, the Poly had availability, but by the time they decided, it was gone. It was very surprising to find any 10 days before their date, though.
