Default What is ONE change that would make you feel more positive about Disney/DVC?

This is an offshoot of the “What are you telling people about DVC these days?” thread. (In other words, what would you tell people about buying DVC?)

I think there are too many options for this question to be a poll, which is why I have left it open ended.

Anyway, the one change that would make me feel a lot better about Disney and owning DVC would be the re-appearance of non-expiration tickets. I can deal with the pre-planning (even though I find it to be a PITA), I can deal with the escalating prices, I can deal with a lot of BS. But the one thing that I really miss is the non-expiring ticket. They made prices much more palatable to me.

What’s the single change you’d like to see that would no longer make you feel as if you’re just an open wallet to Disney?

Discounts across the board for park tickets. 20% off all types would be reasonable.

1 thing???

I hate the way resale is being treated with the restrictions. As for the $ aspect new resale buyers lose the ability to get discounted APs and the blue membership card to get other discounts and even TIW. Restoring the way it used to be would go a long way to making me feel better about it.

- Discounted DVC AP’s always.
- DVC actual Owners having special FP timeframe.
- More special events just for DVC owners and advertised in enough time to possibly change plans.

Side Note: Dislike how “Welcome Home” is thrown out to all.

I’ve given this a lot of careful thought, and I’m going to go with “longer pool bar hours.”

Or in the case of the SSR Grandstand pool.....open Pool bar hours.

Agree!! The "Welcome Home" thing always seems so strange to me....they use it inconsistently and it is just weird in general to me! It makes sense to say it to DVC members but they say it to everyone and it just seems really weird, ...LOL

But if they would give us better perks and discounts, I suppose they can say "Welcome Home" or "Get the heck out" or whatever they want....show me the money!LOL

At the MM last night in AK, the kids handing out the Mickey Bars (inside, not sure what the building was) all parroted "Welcome Home", like Stepford wives, when you got your ice cream. It was creepy, tbh.

I'd love the non-expiring tickets to return, too. Seems punitive not to have kept those as an option.

I would like to see a discounted DVC Pass for members and wish they would discontinue the Member Night Events . Why have a party that is so difficult to sign up for ?
