I just checked. It's the JW Marriott that is being built next to Gardenwalk. Can't remember the other one but, it's not a name that I have heard before.

eta: Cambria Hotel and Suites is what is under construction at Katella and the 5.

It isnít smart to tangle with Disney. They held the power in the situation. Oh well. I still love DL!!!

Apparently the reach of the proposed ordinance is such that it will affect 120 some odd people while costing bucket loads of jobs in canceled projects. Gotta come up with a better strategy, folks!

Politicians suck.......

No one wins. The Council made a move that ended up back firing. Perhaps the new council can get the project back on track?

Iím really upset about this because itís just politics and one side thinking they could outsmart the mouse. Get your head outta the gutter city council.

Every now and then politicians make the right decision for the right reason. Or so I'm told

That's one advantage (of many) that WDW have: they are the city council

Cheers.

What are the odds Disney will spin this into a win by announcing a new DVC property?
Does anybody know how advanced this project was? Architectural plans must have been prepared and some contracts for construction ready to go.
I have noticed Disney likes to start their projects and put up construction walls and then we wait. This might not be a definite No Go just yet.
We all agree they need more DVC just give us what we want and we will pay!
