I'm not going to go into this in detail, but suffice it to say, Instacart cancelled my order without letting me know, and then when it was time for groceries to arrive, no calls, no explanation or anything. We called (my wife handled it), and basically were told our order was cancelled because our account was closed (by them, not us), and then when we ask for an explanation of why, they couldn't give us one. Ask to speak to a manger or someone with a little more seniority and knowledge and they wouldn't comply dancing around the issue and telling us an e-mail was sent out that said the account was closed.. Bologna!!!! We checked twice and even ask for them to re-send the e-mail Yeah!!! It never arrived!! You don't do business this way.... Plain and simple!!! We ended up ordering through Amazon (same day), and got our food and drink within 1-2 hours. We won't deal with Instacart in the future, that's for sure!!!

Sorry for your issues. No idea obviously what happened, but I don't find that to be a scam. Crappy for you, but not a scam.

It's been a while since we used Instacart, but we had some issues with it. They regularly screwed up the order (missing items), gave inadequate notice on substitutes, and often the substitute that they chose was "wrong" and/or substantially higher in price. Their fee system wasn't transparent either and seemed designed to get more money out of the user. Not sure I'd call it a scam, but it certainly rubbed me the wrong way. We've found better results doing curbside pick-up with our local store.

That being said, I've never used it at Disney so it could very well be great there. It sounds like their prices are better than many of the competitors.

We used Instacart a couple of times in December. The first time, the shopper alerted us to an item change and gave us a choice of what to get (the requested item was out of stock). The second time, there were no issues at all. We plan to use them again next time.

Yeah, you're right... Probably not the right wording, but I was pee'd off bigtime... Crappy service is right!! A text or e-mail would have been nice and then we could have moved on and got food and drink from another service.. It sucks when you wait at the resort before heading to the park, for your food to arrive and nada!! And when you call they you give the run around!!! I'll do business with Dizzy and Amazon from now on out..

How is that possible? They give you the receipt from the store and dont upcharge. The only fee is the service charge. Im not being snarky, I am seriously trying to figure it out.

Only thing I can think of is somehow their e-mails went to spam? I'm definitely not a massive fan of them but I liked them well enough to use again. The communication was top notch and calling them on the phone worked as well. Like I said we had an issue with a frozen item but it was fixed in the end. That's all I care about.

As an FYI you shouldn't have had to wait around for them since they text you when they are on their way. Now does that as well which I like having.

It worked the same way for us. They texted me when they were on the resort, and they left our groceries with bell services as instructed. It really was a seamless process. I'm sorry that LouisianaMike had a bad experience. That stinks!
