So, this morning I had the husband rearrange his schedule to take the kids to school for me so I could go to work and be online to book my Columbus Day weekend flights, only to find out the date was changed to Monday the 18th.

However, when I just checked a minute ago, it reads:

"We are currently accepting air reservations through October 1 , 2019. On March 15, 2019 we will open our schedule for sale through November 2, 2019. This date is subject to change! Please check back frequently."

Hope the husband can go in late tomorrow...

I am always looking for a deal to MCO but at least west coast I have found Alaska Air to have better deals and earlier booking. Booked a month ago. San Jose to MCO non stop Nov 2-7. The total $245 is for both of us because of Alaska Air companion fare.

Base Fare and Surcharges: $174.88
Taxes and Other Fees: $41.72
Base Fare and Surcharges: $0.00
Taxes and Other Fees: $28.60

Total fare: USD $245.20

We just booked our October flights on Southwest, for a discount off what was shown on their website. I don't know how we got a better price, but the flights were advertised as $139 out and $185 back; we got them for $116 out and $159 back.
We LUV Southwest!

Wow! Glad I didnít wait for Southwest fares. About twice as much as the non stop fare on Alaska Air for our October trip from SFO.

Booked ours today too--seems like fewer flights in October.

Too late to the party...thought the release was Monday. Missed any discounted fares. Will have to check back or look at alternative airlines.

The Southwest site is still showing the same prices for our October trip now (6:45PM) as was at 6:45AM today.
