There's no way the economics of a DVC Star Wars resort would make sense, not in the design and build, not in the operation, not in the purchase.

For 2k per night, I would hope you get on rides without lines at least... we are not big SW fans but if everyone reports it to be a "once in a lifetime must do" then we would consider it.

It's a fully immersive experience. You are part of an extended role play. You'll have extra access and no waits to be sure. I would also expect after hours fun, too.

When I think of what I could get for $2K/night...

If this really is the case, we're in. Since airfare is often $2K for the two of us (airline status to maintain ), this is not that egregious

Cheers.

When you consider it's an immersive 2 night experience (I think it's 2 nights), it really isn't that bad of a price for someone who is a Star Wars fan. It's no more costly than a Disney cruise.

When this was originally mentioned, I was very excited. We actually made plans to try it out ASAP. However, Iíve come to realize that Iím not a true Star Wars fan, Iím just a fan of the true Star Wars (trilogy). All of the prequel, sequel, fandom, hype isnít my thing. So having said that, am I still interested? Probably not. Not so much a cost issue as a perceived value issue. Theyíre are other, probably non-Disney experiences that I value more. Canít wait to hear feedback from the true fans, though! Hope that it is all that and more!

I think the success of the hotel depends on how impressive the SWL experience is as a whole, and by building this hotel with themed experiences we can expect them to keep up that level of integration for many years to come.

Now if SWL flops they are in deep doo doo, but I truly think it will be great.
