Default Free Dining - Fall/Winter 2019 - Bookings down?

Got the DFB email this morning.

While it's not the usual months' long free dining WDW has had in past years, I wonder if SW:GE is scaring people away or what. Lotsa rooms must be empty over those time blocks...

Next trip: Hopefully 2021

I think the rooms are not filling up as quickly as they would like. I think the prices might be keeping guest away and they need to entice guests. Ticket costs are ridiculous, and yes Dinseyland prices are high, but cost of living is high there, even higher than the east coast. Parks are very busy this summer, but summer time are all the out of state travelers on summer vacation. I think the fall might be more local travelers, which might be down due to cost. While the parks are busy, I dont find them as busy as they were five years ago over the 4th

I'm wondering if the numerous price changes across the board, pay for parking, food prices up, pass prices up, and so on and so on, have finally tipped the Disney vacation over the broader market's willingness to play along?

With Galaxy's Edge opening... it should be CRAZY BUSY at Disneyland...... (even without passholders).......... and it isn't. WDW offering what amounts to incentives for the fall and early winter when Galaxy's Edge is just opening there does NOT bode well for expected attendance.

Galaxy's Edge is also clearly targeted heavily toward the affluent. It is clearly very much about selling pricey merchandise to those that have serious discretionary money to drop. $100 droids, $200 lightsabers. Not to mention the cantina drink prices!!!!!!!!

Have they killed the Goose that laid the Golden Egg?
