Exclamation Hotmail, MSN and other Microsoft email addresses broken

Yes, we know.

If you’re registered using a Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, Live.com, MSN.com or other Microsoft email address, you won’t receive The Buzz, nor will you receive any thread subscription or PM notification emails.

If you're already registered, please do not change your email address on MouseOwners to use a HotMail, MSN, Live, Outlook or other Microsoft email address. If you are a new user getting ready to register, the same applies.

If you do have a Microsoft email address on your MouseOwners account, and you want to once again start receiving PM notifications and thread subscriptions via email, as well as The Buzz newsletter, then go into User CP and then Edit Email to change your email address to anything other than a Microsoft email address.

Email addresses with Yahoo, Google/Gmail, Apple, and AOL work just fine.

I have been in contact with our hosting service. An entire range of IP addresses they own is being blocked by MSFT. I am quite honestly surprised by this: our provider (Linode) is very aggressive about policing spammers, and is quite well regarded.

In any case, they are working on it. There is nothing else we can do but wait. Well, we *could* switch providers. But that is a monumental PITA, so I don't see that happening any time soon.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I'll post updates here when I have them

Eric.

Eric, thanks so much for the update. I can't even imagine how much time this all takes on your part.

Hopefully they can work it out. I'm hoping to find The Buzz in my inbox again.

Thanks!

Anxiously hoping there's a resolution. I'm seriously considering dropping my 19 year old Hotmail account......

Just FYI so no one posts again: We're still awaiting word on a fix from Linode (as are many other people).
