OR, you find the trash can filled to the gills...that is if it is easy to find anyway.

We often have a LOT of trash and recycling since we usually eat a few meals in room, like frozen pizza, etc, plus have LOTS of plastic bottles
I had never heard of the trash rooms until seeing it in the forum (MOs are the BEST and most knowledgeable folks,), and our last stay at BWV brought at least 4 small bags of trash, and several for recycling to the room
I found the one at BLT also, and was happy to be able to bring stuff to it. Ditto at the Poly. Glad as we often have the DND out even on trash day, but I guess it's good having options

Don't always blame the guests for trash in the hall. A few years back at BWV, I saw OUR kitchen trashbag, very full, out in the hall. They'd emptied the kitchen trash in our room during the day, and then left in the hall overnight and well into the next day. I don't think it was gone until late evening...We surely didn't do it, but it was near our door, so someone might've thought it was us

Can you imagine the dues increase to pay for daily housekeeping. I for one hope they never go there.

That's why we will begin removing trash from your rooms at Disney Vacation Club resorts on a daily basis in addition to regular housekeeping visits. The daily service begins December 22, 2017, at five resort properties (Bay Lake Tower, Polynesian Villas & Bungalows, The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian, Disney's Grand Californian and Aulani). The service extends to all other Disney Vacation Club resorts on January 7, 2018.

It seems like it will be daily trash and towel service expanded, but not daily, housekeeping. That makes me happy.
They seem to just mention daily trash service, not trash and towel. Sounds like Trash and towel and full housekeeping may remain the same and as their checking the rooms each day they'll remove the trash. Makes it sound a bit better than just "we're going to enter your room and check to see what you're doing everyday".

Exactly. They get your trash, throw you a few towels and did a visual of the room.
The big thing is, people know someone will be entering their room and if using a sign to try to avoid, then all is on notice they will come in.

What system has daily housekeeping without paying extra? The only timeshare i know of that has daily housekeeping is four seasons. We own hilton, marriott and westin and they do not have daily housekeeping without paying an extra fee.

We're not in our room much - we come and go thru out the day so it's been kinda nice not having to worry about wrecking the housekeepers schedule by appearing and causing her to jump to the next room.

However ... if they're gonna empty the trash they might as well drop a coffee packet on the counter.

Seriously thru, as we're not in our room much, our trash cans don't fill. By the fifth day the most that is filled is the recycle, and that can is built to hold a case of beer so in our case are they gonna just keep taking the whole bag every day for a couple of tissues? That seems wasteful versus helpful.

I read it as just trash, not towels. Admittedly neither of which we need daily.

Yeah, you are right. I inferred towels too since I associate the two together. Rereading it does read as only trash. Either way is good with me. I like not havign to remove my own trash. I also like the extra security.

In the email it says daily trash, in addition to regular housekeeping visits. The wording is strange, since receiving housekeeping on the 8th day is not ‘regular’ to me. Not sure exactly what the meant. I will take the trash removal, wouldn’t mind a few fresh towels. Our last stay at OKW I found the amount of towels left for a 2 bedroom to be on the skimpy side. If a two bed can sleep 9 leave enough towels accordingly.
