Ok, good! I wanted to do our AK park days when we were at AKV and read that chances of FOP fastpasses are better if you can do them later into your trip so I purposely put us at AKV the latter half of the trip and then today the whole split stay thing dawned on me and I was worried it wouldn’t all work out as I had hoped!

Thanks for your help, I appreciate it.

OK...2 dumb questions.

- Does Port Orleans French Quarter have Beignets all the time?
(haven't been back in many years)

- Can small watercraft (sea racers etc) be reserved ahead of time?
(we usually just show up at Poly or Contemp at 11:00 but want to do later in day.....and it always seemed very busy if weather good)

Help appreciated.

Yes and no.....

For Disney rentals, its first come, first served. For Sammy Duval you can make reservations.

They were available in December when I got snowed in for an extra day and stayed at POFQ. The beignets had moved from their dedicated area to one of the food lines. They also seemed to have started cooking them in batches as opposed to when ordered, so they were not as hot and fresh as they once were.

Is this to assume they’re that good? I’ve had them at café Dumond in New Orleans many years ago..... didn’t even know WDW had them.

Fresh is best!

I like them still hot from the fryer.

Beignets are made of the same dough as donuts, so they are a donut. But the way they are cooked makes them different. They are deep fried in oil, and covered in powered sugar for a sugary, sweet taste.

We've strolled the French Quarter (at WDW) many times, enjoying the atmosphere and catching a boat ride.... Guess I need to plan time for snack next time too.

I don't recall what they're called, other than Portuguese Doughnuts, but they are on the menu at the Oasis Pool at the Polynesian. Served hot with chocolate sauce....

Thanks!

They have a Portuguese doughnut variation for dessert at California Grill too. Yum!
