Oh, now that sounds like a great option too.

Default WARNING -- older ADR blown away

Earlier in this thread, I read about the erroneous 11/3 addition of extra dining tables into the ADR process.

https://wdwnt.com/2020/11/update-tec...-at-this-time/ .

Because I made my ADRs on 10/30, I believed they would be unaffected. Thereafter, i was e-mailed about my "need" to confirm my reservations, which I did after mentioning the message on another thread.

Today, I was told via an e-mail that my family's end-of-trip reservation at California Grill on 1/7/21 was cancelled, and that I would be given a $25 gift card. This was the pattern used for the reservations entailing the 11/3 seat availability error. An immediate inspection revealed that there were now zero available dinner tables for five at all 102 restaurants across the World.

The message said:

"Due to an error, our dining system unfortunately displayed reservation times for select dates in January at Disney Resort hotel dining locations that were unavailable and fully booked." [Emphasis added.]

A charitable view would be that it took Goofy's IT shop longer to find the prior extent of the error(s) than the 11/3 posting at the URL above suggested:

"Reservation availability was suddenly available this morning for nearly all time slots at a variety of hard-to-get locations, like Ogaís Cantina and even Chef Mickeyís. [Emphasis added.]

I call attention to the difference between "Disney Resort hotel dining locations" today and "Oga's Cantina" on 11/3.

It is the season for charity, but I am one hour into a phone hold about this.

Oh to harken back to the disastrous park rez system rollout this past summer - i think I spent 8 hours over 2 or 3 days on hold w/ Disney IT.

Fun times!

Good luck!

Default Kudos to WDW-DINE staffer

After the phone hold wait, an extremely nice Disney Dining staffer found a less desirable, but acceptable, reservation time at California Grill for the family. Huzzah, and thanks!

On a note of more general interest, she said that I was the first call she had fielded not related to the 11/3 error, so the extent and cause of the Disney Resort hotel dining reservation issue remain unclear to me.

That was a crazy stressful day!

On a happier note, I did manage to score BOG for my DDs for our trip in 2 weeks.

Maybe something better will open if you keep checking or set an alert.

Yes. It was very stressful day. Some went on for days. Mine started working that night. Seems like a lifetime ago now and itís not even 6 months.

So happy about BoG. DD enjoyed eating there. I hope they bring back quick service lunch.

YES, we always would do pre-park opening breakfast and then again for lunch. We haven't done dinner in many years. Glad you are enjoying yourselves!!
