Venmo has a $2999.99 limit per month with a validated account.

Venmo Shouldn't be used in that way.

Venmo is a subsidiary of Paypal

Wow, thx for the link, people should pay attention to last line, reversing the payment you got. Sorry, no Venmo for me.

I would just stick with Zelle or Apple Cash or a Credit Card. It seems any other electronic form has some type of restriction on using it for timeshare rentals.

My only issue with checks is the inconvenience of using one, waiting for it to clear, and the potential for it to be lost in the mail. For me, electronic payments make it more transparent, safer, and quicker for both the renter and landlord.

I havent used Venmo for Disney payments, but my family and friends use it alot. If both people are registered with Venmo, we've never paid a fee. Similar to Zelle.

Itís been said on this board quite a bit, but to recap. Nothing is stopping you for using it...HOWEVER, PayPal and Venmo clearly state in their user agreement that you canít use it for time share payments. Both the renter and rentee are risking security by using either.

Zelle, Square, and Apple Cash do not have that restriction.

This directly from Venmo:
"Only in instances when the funds are still in Venmoís system and the recipient's account is in good standing, can we reverse the funds with the recipientís permission. If the recipient still sees the funds available in their Venmo account, please have them reach out to us directly authorizing a reversal and we would be happy to take care of the rest."

I'm not sure that there is an actual security risk to the recipient / renter based on this verbiage. All of the payment options have extensive legal statements to cover their own interests so that they don't have to go to any trouble or expense chasing down a deal gone wrong. That's all. They all will take any transactions possible.
