Should buy a small house in Orlando and rent it out as an AirBNB instead.

DVC for the most part is a good value vs paying cash for similar type rooms. The Grand Villa at Riveria, during Christmas week, is probably $17,500-$22,000 for the week.....but that is just a guess.

Yes crazy my trips this year cash value is just over $24k my Riviera contract will pay for itself by next summer as we are already planning next years trips. I pay my annual dues for my 3 resorts with my Disney Chase Rewards.

Heck.....But some direct contracts and have DVC secure the rooms for your stays!

We use SWA Credit card to pay the dues.....helps us earn Companion Pass and reduce our flight costs tremendously.

Wow! You must have a huge credit card bill on a regular basis. I thought we did, but we can't even cover air fare with our Disney Chase Rewards. Although, air fare this year was only slightly lower than our maintenance fees for 3 dvc resorts.

Well we bought a small add-on yesterday! We have been studying it since the conception and when we finally did the tour we were sold.

I got in by the date, got 2019 points, developer point credit and a very generous CM credit. So it was a easy sell for us that was looking to increase our allotment.

What we love most is that it is a dedicated DVC resort. We enjoy our other home, SSR (bought 2005) for this same reason. We also enjoyed immensely the feel of the resort. Also parking is very convenient--this is something we judge all resorts by as we always drive.

We also had a fantastic meal at Topolino. We are happy clams tonight.
