I have already heard that "Harry Potter Go" is being developed. It is believed you'll walk around to interact with magical elements like hidden doors and such. You'll collect spells and items to use in battles against other players.

I am betting lots of other companies are looking at Pokeman Go and seeing how to do something similar. This would probably be a great fit for Disney at the parks where you try to catch all sorts of Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, etc. characters. An extension of some of the electronic games such as "Keys to the Kingdom".
Disney filed a patent last month for a "Lightsaber battle attraction" where the system will be able to track and react to the motions of the player's lightsaber, body, and hands. It looked like a mix of the system that works the interactive wands at WWoHP and an Xbox Kinect. I'd say that will be the next generation of the "Sorcerers of the MK" game, at least in DHS. You'll go from location to location in the park and battle droids and other Jedi/Sith. They can take this tech and put it into swords/wands for kids to use in the MK to battle classic Disney Villians (like the game now).

Default I want to battle with lightsabers!

I think that technology would be awesome, except for the people who walk right in front of us while playing a SOMK portal. There would have to be a designated space with serious boundary markings.

The US army had to issue a similar warning, so yeah.....apparently pokemoning instead of working is an issue.

The rattata joke was awesome.

I remember when "hunting" required, a license, a gun, and a six pack of Schlitz.

Funny story...

I was just at Disneyland 2 weeks ago. We stayed at the Paradise Pier (not my choice, but ok) and every morning before the parks opened and before anyone else in my party was awake, I would take a nice AM walk and go to Coffee Bean to get a drink.

One AM, as I left, the attendants/valets/whatever at the carport of the hotel were sitting about, not really doing anything because no one was arriving at 6 am. As I walked past I heard one say to his partner, "Dude, this is embarrassing, but I need you to cover for me for a second. There's a Pokemon over there I need to go get." His fellow attendant laughed and just said "OK."

I chuckled, because I had already opened Pokemon-go for my walk. cuz you know... new pokemon.

Love it. Wish they would ban it all together. Can't stand walking around the parks having to weave in and out of people staring at their phones. Oh wait, that's what MDE is for.
