Yes, but my mind went a different path this morning when I, again, reviewed the chart: I'm sure glad my points are in 'chunks' (several smaller contracts rather than one large contract). Looking at the picture from this perspective, one might embrace a short-term add-on ... say with a retention plan of ~10 years before recycling?

Fortunately we are in the same boat. Although I have no plans on selling its always good to know I could shed some points off if needed.

Default Another Question?

What happens if it's 2059 and I want to use my BLT points at VWL? Will VWL still be available to me even though VWL's membership expired in 2042? Well not me, because if I'm still around I probably won't give a damn, but I'm talking about my kids family. Will the resorts available to memberships with slightly longer contracts have limited amount of choices available? Or will Disney still let the resorts whose home resorts contracts expired still be available to other owners whose home resorts aren't yet expired? If they didn't I think that owners with the newer resorts that are the last to expire might get stuck with points that they can't use because their only choice would be their home resort if they were the last one to be added. Disney may keep adding new resorts, but even Disney can't keep adding resorts indefinitely.

P.S. Thanks DVC Mike for the info you made easily available.

Well, you will still have your home resort. Most of timeshare do not have multiple properties in one location and by 2042 Disney probably may have some more location.

Here are inflation adjusted MFs:

Note: (s) = subsidized

Thanks! I see some years there was a drop in MFs. Is this only for inflation adjusted or did MFs actually dropped in those years?

Only three times has mf dropped and it was long, long, long time ago. Once at OKW and twice at BWV.
