With direct price at $188 a point I am not sure a couple K in savings would outweigh the restrictions but suppose that is an individual choice.
With incentives this person would have paid about 175. I also purchased 160 points and my cost was around 160 so I know this is true so there must have been a nice discount to buy this contract

I am surprised it went that fast as well. It certainly wasn't a deal since it would have been the same price as direct? Again, unless as OP said, it was out of country and this was easier or they really had to unload it fast they took the first offer, whatever it was.

I guess we won't know unless it gets posted on a ROFL thread.

Under $120 will never happen for RR.

It may not.....if a recession like the last one comes around, it will certainly fall below $120. Lets hope that those types of events are once in a lifetime.

Contract sold for $150, but it fell through and is now back on the market.

No. But I wouldn't buy any resale contract at that price. Frankly, SSR is the best deal out there IMO, or extended OKW, but...I prefer SSR because of the elevator access.

DVC will never let a new luxury resort pricing fall by much. That's in part why they've put in these trade restrictions for outside resale on all new resorts so that only direct buyers can play with any, at all, arbitrage between the low resell gained points and these new resorts. In the event of another long recession they'll keep the price up through the ROFR process and cannibalize the lesser resorts to keep the cash flow steady. My guess is they'd let VB, HHI, OKW, SSR, and the other 2042 resorts take the hit since it makes more long term financial sense. They'll protect the valuations of the higher end resorts this way.
