We have a cruise sandwich in November so I let the AP lapse. Instead we bought a special park ticket for May 9 to AK - something we wouldn't do with AP's. In November we will probably re-up the AP but I was kinda hoping we could push it off until 2021 Spring. By then the SWGE should be de-bugged.

There was a lot of sadness in our house when we got an AP renewal reminder last week.

Our resale agent tipped us off to using an AP to cover trips across two years- but making sure they were within 11 months. It's been great- and we have done longer trips than originally planned, so even better.

So even though we're not renewing by design and will get AP's next year to cover two trips, letting them go drove home that we won't be back for a while. Though DW has a ~370 day countdown going, even though we don't book next trip for a month...

I know that feeling!

We lived our last set of WDW APs to the fullest! Oct 2018-Oct 2019, Platinum with a big family trip over New Years. We got 7 trips out of that AP and pulled lots of tricks to do so:
* Southwest Airline Companion Pass (joy!)
* Two inbound exchanges to SSR booked via RCI against other timeshare
* Burned off all our banked points
* Burned off all of our Oct 2018 points
* Borrowed a few Oct 2019 points

To soften the heartache, we purchased new Flex APs at Disneyland during our Star Wars Galaxy's Edge preview visit. Loving those.

7 trips? Nice! definitely milked those AP's for a lot of value.

The companion pass is great- especially since it runs for year you earn it and following year.

Same here. Ours expired on 01/12 which also happened to be the last day of our trip. We're not going again until Thanksgiving with the whole gang so we're also not renewing now. We'll buy new in November and start a new cycle. Not much sense in paying for them now and not using them for 10 months.

We bought one for the future 2021 trips. We can schedule all 14 of our days no issues. So maybe in 2020 for 2021 but we cannot buy anyway if we wanted ro

What is going on with the APs? Are they selling them? Can you renew if you have them? I need to call but will do it later this weekend

We are sitting on 10-day Park Hoppers that we were going to bridge to APs this summer. Now, we're hoping to do that next summer, but I'm a little worried that they could change things around, not allow bridging or raise the price of APs for DVC owners exponentially.

I think they will keep the AP discounts for a while as that is the only perk of the Blue Card that makes it worth thinking about direct points. If they change that I don't think I would ever recommend anyone buy direct.
