It looks like this is under the Porte Cochere and the steps going down to the ME pick up area. Hope no one was waiting for a bus. Trying to figure out how they got turned that way.

While I truly hope the driver is okay, I’m more worried about the damage to Wilderness Lodge... Hope there is no extensive damage to my beloved Lodge.

I am married to a really smart man and I could almost see him doing this. I would hope that I could have stopped him before actually making it to the stairs though. He does some really dumb things when driving. More than once he's nearly driven down the wrong side of a divided highway. When he's in a new area, he just gets really flustered. I always drive when we are at Disney.

I sent the article to the kids and they agree that dad could do such a thing

DH was in a Zoom meeting...just saw the article and he agreed that he might make this mistake especially in the dark.

That is very scary and not in the least bit funny.

Im guessing that there is some damage to those steps at the wilderness lodge. The colored concrete is probably not colored the whole way thru just on the surface.

Yes. Itís a tad bit unnerving. I watch him like a hawk when we drive in new places. Heís the highway driver and Iím the city/Disney driver!

I always thought that was tricky in the dark. It is not as well lit as it could be. I can see it happening at night, with or without the adult beverage .

I’ll say from driving on property a bit on a two night June stay and a recent 3 night stay, it is so quiet, so dead at the resorts that the normal “flow” one might find oneself in just isn’t there. I’d bet a generally distracted and unfamiliar driver. Thankfully no one injured.

The pictures were taken in the day time. Why are people talking about it happening at night? Did the article say it happened the night before?
