Default Meg is better than any Princess

A little video to back up my point:

PS: Can anyone explain why Hercules isn't up there with the best Disney movies?

While of course I wouldn’t go that far, she definitely belongs amongst them in my mind.

While Meg is amazing, Hades has to be one of my all time favorite Disney villains! So perfectly bad! The Muses are fantastic too. I was thinking about watching that yesterday while I cleaned house. Guess that’s on my “to do” list for today instead!

I love it. It's up there with some other underrated movies:

Hunchback
Emperor's New Groove
Princess and the Frog
Song of the South
Enchanted

I wouldn't trust Meg if she was serving up lapu-lapus.

For whatever reason I had no interest in watching Hercules until it was convenient on Netflix. Now it's one of my favorite Disney movies... so maybe a perception problem at release time?

perhaps the animation style/look? The music also doesn't have a unifying sound.

Lastly -- it's not about a princess, so girls might have been less motivated to watch it, and boys might have seen animated movies as a "girl" thing at the time.
