I even called the disney dining reservation # and the person I talked to told me there were no reservations for that date or time!!. Frustrating.
When you get an alert you have to go on Disney dining and book yourself. If you are not quick enough it could get booked by someone else. The alert is just basically that...to alert you that there is an open resie. Then you have to be the quickest on the draw.

Somebody else booked it between the time it was found and notified you and by the time you tried to book it. What you did was correct but someone else saw it too and booked it up.

When you get that alert, you have to be QUICK!
And FYI, I would get the text message alert well in advance of the email alert...so the email would be so delayed that I am sure I would never have secured a difficult ressie if I had relied only on that email.

DH and I talked it over. We are going to try out BOG in March. We've never been for dinner, and if it stinks, we won't go back. Hopefully we enjoy it. Thanks everyone for all the advice and opinions. I will circle back around after the March trip and let you all know how it goes...

We greatly enjoyed dinner there last night. I think our table in the smaller “rose room” helped as it is a bit quieter from the people standpoint - theatrically it is still loud at times. We had a great server and were quite pleased with the quality of the food items. We both opted for the cheese/meat plate appetizer which had a nice array of items. My wife had the Bouillabaisse and I had the Lamb. Both were very good, the lamb perhaps exceptional. While the chops were small there were 3 and with the accompaniments quite filling. The spice mix on the lamb was “morroccan” and delicious. It would have fit well at Jiko. The Bouillabaisse was nicely prepared with a flavorful broth and two each of clams and mussels a bit of whitefish, lobster and a large shrimp. The dessert tray was tasty and a nice mix of flavors - a raspberry macaroon, a chocolate tort “bite” and a white chocolate edible Chip cup with grey stuff. We would prefer a choice of one but the items were good. My wife sipped her favorite chateauneuf du pape and I had Syrah and both were very good.

The quality of the food prep and presentation was signature level. Our table location helped “sell” that a bit however I’m sure. Nonetheless I give it excellent marks. While we like the other rooms I think the environment of the Rose room gave us a more “dining like” experience. I’m not sure we would opt to eat there versus a resort signature given the choice, but we definitely had a nice time.

Thank you so much for the review. I had someone else tell me the lamb was delicious, and recommended it over the steak. I’ll make sure to order that. I’m excited to try it out and will try to request the West Wing, if possible.
