Default AP question

Random one here. We currently hold platinum annual passes for out-of-state residents. If we were to become Florida resident's mid-year, can we "upgrade" the ticket to a FL resident premium plus (with water parks) and get the full credit we paid for the regular platinum passes? In essence - can it be switched from regular to Florida discount during a mid-year upgrade?

Somewhat separately, we bought them direct from WDW right before the last price increase, so I'm not sure if the cost would be the difference between the plat and plat plus when we bought (which was around $100) or the price we paid for plat and the price now for plat plus.

Thanks in advance!

Not sure about the first part, but regarding the difference it would be to the current price.

They would credit the price you paid for the pass you are upgrading from. If the new pass costs LESS, they are not supposed to issue a refund.

At renewal time, you can upgrade/downgrade to any level of annual pass you are entitled to and keep the renewal savings. This includes switching from a tourist (non-discounted) pass to either a FL or DVC annual pass.
