Default Run Disney medal question

If someone can't finish the race and / or gets picked up by the sweeper and taken to the finish line, can they still get the medal? Asking for a friend...

I can't speak with certainty since I haven't actually participated in one yet, but I am signed up for one and, based on all of my research, you get a medal if you've paid for the race and you "finish", whether on your own or with help from the Disney staff. Once again, that's just my understanding, but multiple people on various forums mentioned that they received a medal even though they were picked up when they fell a little behind the 16 minute/mile pace.

Hope that helps!

You do get your finisher's medal for most races. In the past (not sure if this is still current) you would not receive the coast to coast medals, light side/dark side or goofy/dumbo race medals if you do not complete.

Thanks for the great info! I'm doing my first 5k and would just love to give the medal ( if I get one) to my 4 year old because she loves Belle.

The 5K "medals" are not what I would call a medal, but instead are made of colored rubber. Probably perfect for a 4 year old

This year, the 1/2 was canceled, but all got their medals. So if you're lucky . . .
