Default disney springs resort area hotels

Hey Guys,

We are going to Disney springs for one day after the cruise, and see 7 Disney area resorts right by Disney springs. Wondering if anyone ever went to any of these resorts, and if any are better than others. It will be the 4 of us of which are -2 kids are (4,2)

Any you can walk to Disney springs safely? This will be in mid November.

Give me your suggestions.

Here are a link to the seven hotels

We have stayed at the Holiday Inn. It's nice, a pretty typical Holiday Inn. It seems they are always doing renovations, though. Our stays there have been pretty spread out, so maybe we just happened to stay during those renovations times. Either way, the renos have never bothered us. It's easier to get to Disney Springs now since they added the walkways, too. In 2010 we stayed there and attempted to use the buses. Unless it's changed, I would not recommend it. They shared buses with the other hotels and it was a very, very long wait.

Does anyone know if we could request Magical Express at any of the Disney Springs hotels? We only need one night stay and would like to use ME if possible. Thanks!

No.

Magical Express is only available to/from Disney owned & operated hotels.

No. DME is only for Disney owned resorts. Swan and Dolphin donít qualify, nor do any of the DS resorts.

I have walked on that street many times, never a problem - all were during the daytime, however. It is a gorgeous street...and you can walk by the "Amateur Athletic Union" which way way WAY back in the day was the "Preview Center", there was a dirt road and a little parking lot, and you could see models of the amazing new "Magic Kingdom" before it was even built.

Depending on which hotel you were at, some would be a short walk to Disney Springs, the ones at the far end of the street are over a mile away. When you get to the intersection, you climb stairs up to the new bridges (awesome) or there are elevators as I recall. Cross the street, then back down into DS. You'd be in the corner of the Marketplace area, by Earl of Sandwich and Once Upon a Toy.

I can confirm that DME is not for DS Hotels. But you could stay at Saratoga Springs which is practically a DS hotel.....

No on magical express, but there are several nice hotel options in disney springs. We've stayed at the doubletree, hilton and palace. The palace is my favorite. I've done trip reports on all, most of which have hotel pics and thoughts on walking/buses/etc. In short, I really like these.

This trip report has pics of palace on the first page of the thread. Several others do as well, but I'd have to go look to see which is which.

I looked at non-Disney hotels that are close to DS for a 1-night stay prior to a Merrytime Cruise (cannot wait to see how DS does Black Friday), but was not a fan of paying the fairly high "resort fee" for such a short stay. Decided to stay at a Port Orleans resort which is a riverboat ride away from DS and has DME and the potential for a resort pick up by the DCL bus (we did a private car from Universal to our first cruise on the Dream in 2018 and our driver was a NIGHTMARE, so am hesitant to be a hostage to a litany of stories about someone's misspent adulthood again).
