Default New, but Old

Hi All,
I've been to Disney many, many times, but I'm new to this board!

Welcome. Are you a DVC owner or just on the outside looking in?

Thank you! I've been an AP holder for several years. Now, I'm considering DVC. I've spoken to several folks who enjoy their DVC membership. I'm just wondering if it's right for me and my family - or just keep "paying as I go".

to MouseOwners!
This is a great place to hang out whether you own DVC or not. On whether or not to buy in, I can't think of a better place to figure that out than here. This is where I came to make sure it was right for us and to decide on the best resort for us, and best of all, how to buy resale!
(Generally speaking, if you go enough to need an AP and if you can plan your trips well in advance, DVC is probably a good choice for you)

Thank you, Tink!

Hoping to experience Beach Club DVC for our 20th anniversary in January.

Welcome to MO! Beach Club is a wonderful resort. Love it! Have you ever stayed there before? Another suggestion for a winter trip is Wilderness Lodge, either BRV(my home) or CCV. I just love the big fire in the fireplace! And the BRV building is separate, so it's a little quieter for an anniversary trip. The 1BR units still have the huge jetted tubs, too...

Thank you!

I usually stay in the cheap seats, that's how we afford to be AP.

Looking to do it up right this time! Let's face it... I put in 20 years - I think I deserve a little deluxe. LOL.

We figured that we spent more money paying cash (rack rates) for our first 5 trips to WDW than we spent for our DVC contracts. We really wish we'd have done it sooner.

DVC is a great way to go if you consider repeat visits. You can't go wrong. You really have to decide how you plan to travel. It took us a few years to make a informed descision. Now, there is no looking back and wish we had done it sooner, but timing is everything. The AP just works with it all too, especially if you buy direct. Resale rocks. Work both into your decision perhaps.
Do the math!
Good luck!
