As long as I don't need a camera or a computer for this, I'm in!

OK - anyone have or use a gopro ? And are they allowed on the rides ?

Question #2 - are there any decent waterproof cameras for under $100 ? This would really be used exclusively for at the water parks, so don't need it to be waterproof/resistant more than a few feet underwater. Or is anything that inexpensive just going to be junk ?

I have an older GoPro Hero 3 White Edition, but I've only played around with it and not used it in any serious way.

Default What Type of Camera

I currently operate a dinosaur, or so to speak. Canon PowerShot S5 IS, 8MP, 12 Optical Zoom. It has been a good camera.
I have not upgraded because I am afraid I won't want to lug around lenses and a heavy camera that I spent a ton on, just to end up wanting to leave it at home.
Cost is also a factor.
My kids play sports, so I do need to be able to capture this.
Suggestions on a modest budget?

Yes gopro's are allowed on rides. We also have a monopod that extends so we can take selfie shots and we can be in out videos. I bought the hero4 silver be a use the touchscreen is built in making it a little easier to use. The video quality is very good but obviously can't zoom in like with video taken from a digital camera. Use a mix of regular camera and gopro for my vacation videos.

We used a go pro on every ride in February, no problems.

Mike, I like the new category but did you have to put it where community hole was located, I have clicked here umpteen times on accident
