Copper Creek -Polynesian or Aulani

I loved the villas at Grand Floridian but thatís not available anymore
We want to do it thru Disney and not resale.

Thanks for your thoughts.
I guess I have a couple of questions before I offer some advice. 1) what size room do you see yourself wanting to book (studio, 1 bdrm, etc)? 2) how many points are you thinking about buying? 3) how often do you envision visiting WDW? 4) why have your ruled out resale?

Also, if your main reason is being able to take advantage of the DVC membership perks (annual pass discount, special events), why not do what I did and purchase the minimum of 50 points through DVC direct and buy the rest through the resale market (with the same UY)? Other than the AP discounts, discounted ticket promotions, access to DVC clubs, and special events, the other perks like being able to book a hotel room or cruise isn't really worth the price per point.

Yup. And if you do it in the reverse order (resale first, then direct), you can buy as few as 25 points at most resorts (CCV an exception, I believe).

I know. I read your other thread.

Sounds like you're really enjoying DVC, though.

Answers:
Answer #1
We are 5 adults. Sometime we vacation together and sometimes we are only two adults.
1 or 2 bedrooms or a studio or two studios

Answer #2
175 or 190 points

Answer #3
Maybe once a year or once every two years
We like to visit other areas of the world

Answer#4
Flexibility to use points in other places other than Disney (we are world travelers)
Speed of process and getting extra perks

Default Incentives

I called our guide, these are the incentives to join thru Disney

Polynesian:
we will get 15 extra points per year as long as we own the contract
So I pay for 175 points but get 185 points in my account.

Copper Creek:
We will get extra 20 points per year as long as we own the contract

We own at the Poly, love it, and definitely don't regret it, BUT.. the point chart kills me!

The three monorail resorts are pretty bad. BLT with the standard view is okay but the others are killers.

For the OP, if you want VGF ask about it. CCVC should have a confirmation on MF coming up in just under 2 months. That said I am not sure I'd ever buy based on MF alone. What you think is low now might change drastically over the years.

I say buy where you would want to stay the most.
