Default Video trip report: HHI - BC - VWL

To celebrate my twin girls finishing up kindergarten, we went to, where else - WDW.

We drove down from our home near Charlotte to spend three nights at HHI (where we own). We then spent two nights at Beach Club and a final night at VWL.

  • Hilton Head is always so relaxing, the cast members were great. Saw fireworks show from the waterway (every Tuesday during the summer). Found a new place to eat called Java Burrito. It was fantastic, look it up.
  • Stormalong Bay at the Beach Club is definitely our favorite pool. Beach Club was great, ate at Beaches n Cream before they close for renovations
  • Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite resorts. The newish DVC pool area is nice, quieter than the other pool
  • Rode in a Minnie Van for the first time - Good experience and probably saved us 30 minutes park time
  • The parks were good, not super crowded. Nothing really new since our previous trip, so we hit our favorite rides and tried some new food offerings. My girls still wanted to meet some princesses, and I fear that won't last much longer. They had some great, sweet interactions with the characters we met.

  • Nothing too bad sticks out. 3 resorts in a week can get hectic packing up, but my girls are troopers.
  • We were at the END of the long, long hallway at VWL. Talk about a haul when you are tired
  • It seems the summer tourist crowds can be some of the most clueless. As in, waiting for rope drop in Liberty Square and no fewer than 6 moms cut to the front of the line only to be told that Be Our Guest breakfast reservations were on the OTHER side of the castle

Anyway, we had a great trip, and I always enjoy making recap videos to share with family and friends. If you care to check out the latest video, please checkout the link!

And if there is any interest, I can post links to previous trip recaps. Sorry if I've overstayed my welcome!
Always planning the next trip
