I believe so, but now you have me questioning if it was ADRs or FPs!

I also thought that they'd have to call in for this.

My family and I are going to book our first split stay in 2018 and this info answered all my questions without even having to ask.
Bravo!

no cost, but it is customary to tip the baggage handler (we usually do $4 to $5 per bag at pick up).

Default First Tine with split stay

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the great information. We generally have not done split stays in the past because my wife really never wanted to go to the trouble. However to me it sounds fun. I now have two splits days scheduled. One in February and one in June, where the total days at Disney World will be six days on one and nine days on the other. We will do three different resorts each split stay, and be two or three days in each room.

So, I was not aware that they would transfer your luggage to the new resort. I was planning on checking out and then taking an Uber with our luggage to the new resort and checking in. It would be so much better to just drop our bags at the bell captain on our way out, and then go to the park. Could we check into the second resort and third resort online, so that we can just go to the park? Are there any particular details we need to worry about with our luggage?

Again, I appreciate everyone’s help.

We did a split stay in july. It was really easy except for one thing, making sure the credit card on file was actually authorized for new resort. We even went to the front desk and it still wasn’t. When we went to the park that day we couldn’t charge back to the room. We had done onl8ne check in but the charging privileges didn’t transfer. Outside of that it was incredibly smooth going from SSR to the Poly

We find that when we do split stays we still have to go to the front desk. Inevitably something doesn’t work quite right doing online check-in. But yes, you can just go to the park for the day. That’s what we do and go “home” to the new resort. Nothing to do on luggage other than when you get to the new resort to call Bell Services once you are in your room, you do have to be there for delivery.

Have you tried calling the front desk of the new resort, from the old resort, before you leave? Would that work?
