I don't read their intent as seeking 'off-property WDW' ... but non-WDW DVC such as the Grand Cal (far from hillbilly), Aulani, ... and Vero and Hilton Head?

I had to choose BWV. I just love the area and it feels like home to me. But I have really started to like the MK area resorts.

It's tough to say, having only stayed at BLT, Poly, SSR, and AKL. While I would stay at any except Poly again, I voted for our home, BLT. We really do love this resort. The biggest plus for us is the walk to MK. You really can't beat it.

Love our SSR home, but the lake view Grand Villa we stayed in at Bay Lake Tower was over-the-top...and a short walk down the hall to Top of the World!

If I could only stay at one [WDW] resort I'd have to pick BLT w/Kidani behind it because of the extra bathroom. Location really doesn't enter in to the picture at all for me. I WISH all the resorts were laid out with 2 bathrooms in the 1 bdrms.

Animal Kingdom Villas - Kidani. We love the savanna view and the extra bathroom in the 1 bedroom villas.

But your question never mentioned that parks were park of the evaluation process. You just threatened that we had to stay at one property for the rest of our lives.

Ok, so we are permitted to leave the resort to visit the parks. Good to know ... not that it changes my answer. The question still gives me a creepy feeling that I'm about to be trapped and held against my will at the resort. (Been there, done that on a Mexican train tour once ... )

I went with our home resort BRV (VWL) for two reasons. First, I love the atmosphere there, always have, and it just seems like home to us. Second, we can have a kitchen there which we canít have at the Poly, which is really my first love.

I haven't stayed there yet but I would go with Beach Club villas for its turn of the century New England theme, pool and that I could take a quick walk over to France for lunch.
