Default Transferring points then possibly banking question

Okay so I'm not an owner yet but have had my eye on it for years. Now that we can afford it, we are looking at akv resale. We have a big event coming up in 2020. That year I'd need about 500 extra points. The event is in June 2020 and was wanting to book BLT at 11 months. Would we only be able to receive a transfer from a blt may 2019 use year?
Thanks!

You reference buying at AKV, but wanting to book at BLT in the owner window at 11 months. You can transfer in BLT points to book at the 11 month window, [maybe you realize this] but you can't combine your AKV points with the transferred in BLT to book at the 11 month window.

It's possible, depending on the UY, for you to take a BLT 2019 transfer and bank those points forward, and take a BLT 2020 transfer as well. Just keep in mind that any 2020 points you transfer in cannot fall in a UY related to your trip where you would be in a situation of having to "borrow" those points. I don't believe you can borrow transferred points to book a reservation.

Hope that helps.

Thank you for the reply.

Yeah I love AKL so that's where we wanted to buy. But my extended family skews to the more elderly side so I thought a resort with less walking would be preferable for this single trip.
So I guess my main question is since you can't transfer borrowed points... I would have a very small window of available owners to rent from. Would I only be able to use a June 2019 use year to get the 11 month window? (since July use years do not seem to exist) I just wanted to make sure I had that right. Or the only other option would be to rent points that would expire before June 2019 and bank them?

I know I could just rent a reservation but I'd rather have more control since it'll be multiple reservations, though I have rented multiple times before.

Best use yr Feb, March, April and June of 2019 and bank them to 2020

You can use oct and Dec of 2018 as well and bank them to 2019, your trip will fall before pts expiry dates. Aug and Sep will work as well but too risky if you need to cancel at last min.

Aug- Dec 2019 will work directly no need to bank.

Feb to June 2020 will work directly as well.

When you say "less walking" do you mean because you will take the monorail to the MK? Just curious why you feel BLT is less walking.

Just the resort mostly. The walk at kidani can be rough. Wouldn't want them to have to deal with that at the end of the day.

BLT can be a healthy hike to the Contemporary or MK. The MK seems so close on the way in because of the Disney 'high' but coming back I have had older guests complain a bit.
