I'm thinking it was a nightmare (or at least a major headache) for some, especially those who were already on the taxiway and sent back to the gate to disembark and go back thru security. I know that Frontier canceled several flights tonight and some for tomorrow as well.

I'm sure that TSA has to err on the side of caution, but this seems like somewhat of an overreaction to me.

It's hard to imagine what they thought it would accomplish to send people through security a second time.

We had to do that in Atlantic city once. About 15 years ago. Deplane, back through security, back on the plane. It obviously was mich easier because it was Atlantic city but it was annoying. We were never told the reason why
