Default Traveling and current events...

Has the current events affected your trip planning???

I usually do a carry on and give self about 90 minutes from tsa check in to boarding which had been sufficient but then the last time I went to see the mouse/WDW was Nov. Of last year.

Are you traveling from outside the U.S.? I don't think there will be any real changes for travel within the U.S., but I guess it remains to be seen.

I was giving this some thought yesterday. We fly in May and I'm kind of hoping things settle down by then. But right now, almost wish we were driving instead of flying. We are driving in 3 weeks and glad for that.

We've traveled within and outside the US since this and nothing has changed. Same as it ever was.

Some changes may be afoot where the Trump administration wants to enforce a law that has been on the books for over 20 years, but never enforced due to costs, where people leaving the country would have an immigration check as well as those entering. If implemented, that will add delays.

But that will not affect domestic travel.

Cheers.

We're flying from RI to FL in March and April, and hopefully back to Europe this summer. I have absolutely no plans to change anything at this time.

All of our flights are domestic so no change in plans for us.

We have a very expensive cruise and land trip to Europe in September. Depends on what happens in the next few months but I'm seriously considering canceling should things get worse. Long lines at airports for international travel, potentially strong anti American sentiment in foreign countries... could all add up to just not bothering with the potentially increased hassles. I hope it doesn't get to this point but policy changes can certainly affect the tourism industry here in the us as well as abroad. A very sad effect.

I did have husband renew passport early. He thought I was crazy but given the federal hiring freeze last week who knows what will come next and I can see something as simple as renewing a passport becoming a lengthy process in the near future.
