July Reservations at Boardwalk Villas, at 7 months

hi all. Just made our back up reservations at our home resort, Kidani village for July 9th - 16th, 2013. My wife would like to try to stay at BWV, but as you all know we have to wait till December 9, 2012 to make those reservations.

so who has tried to get a boardwalk view studio at BWV for July at the 7 month window, and what were your experience trying to do so?

I dont think you will have an issue at all. The cheapest view goes first.

We were doing a 10day Split stay with July4th in the middle of it several years ago. I waited until I could get the entire thing done in one call they only had a few scattered days of BWview by then so we had to do Preferred as I really wanted to finish the trip at AKV. We were checking out on the 5th (heading to AKV)and the resort was filled as we tried to get out of a HA room and was told we would have to move 3 of the 4 nights if we really wanted to .

I know you are looking for a BW view which like the standard are harder to get. We had friends who wanted to rent from another person they know, however they wanted to see what might still be available. They are not planners and decided to check this out in Feburary. In February there was availibilty at BWV in a 1 bedroom pool/garden view for July 18-25th (or right around that time). I was actually suprised since it was well past the 7 month mark. So hopefully calling at 7 months will get you what you want but at least something should be available.

If you give up the "Boardwalk view" you probably have a great shot. Otherwise it's just a good shot

I booked a "preferred view" about 5 months out for the few days before July 4th 2012. No problem (I was actually pretty shocked LOL!) But BW or standard weren't options.
