If anyone reads far enough to see this --> I do have a Question? Once I am a DVC member, can I purchase smaller (e.g. 25 or 50) amounts of points from Disney than they pitch to new members? They won't care that my original DVC membership came about via resale -- right?

Glad to be soon into the Mouseowners Club. I have kids age 8 and 12 -- we've been avid Disney consumers since Leigh was age 4 (8 years)...what took me so long?

Welcome aboard, glad to have you here. And yes, once you are a member, I do believe you can purchase smaller amounts of points direct from Disney if you so desire. Though of course you'll get many opinions as to whether this is worthwhile as many do not believe that non-WDW/Disneyland DVC resort options are a wise use of points. Of course, that decision is completely up to you.
