We can't decide to watch from the lounge or from our room.

Where in PA are you from?
Chester County near Philadelphia....I would suggest watching them from your room. I watched one night from the lounge and the next night from my balcony. I thought my view was way better because the wall is so high at the lounge. My son was too short to see.

I can understand trying to get more people there...we have gone twice and the place was deserted (except during fireworks...then it got crowded).
Like a previous poster noted, they might find that they need to make ressies for people...

This would be fun to do if the snacks were any good. Anyone have an opinion about the food/drinks available?

As a BLT owner, these changes are a mixed bag.

I remember TOTWL before they added those pyramids on top of the railing and they had to add those as people put drinks (and kids) on that rail.

I have never seen this area crowed and inside the restaurant is only busy right before fireworks.

I am not sure why they are allowing all DVC members (and not cash paying guests of BLT) to visit, but that is their decision.

I doubt it will get so crowded, they have to stop access, but you never know.

Also the view here is FAR superior to the CG site.

What I would like to see is --- open up Stormalong bay to all DVC members.

About time.

I'd like to see the lounge stay but have not thought it would unless they stopped limiting it.

It will be interesting to see how many take advantage of this who aren't staying at BLT. Beyond the initial curiosity I've never thought it would be an overcrowding issue if they allowed anyone in.

Is the restaurant normally (not during fireworks viewing time) only open to people staying at BLT?

Stormalong bay was not built as part of DVC, but more leveraged by DVC.
Stormalong bay is not under utilized.
However, I would like to see it open to me when I am not staying at BCV.
However, if I were staying at BCV I would not want it open to anyone not staying there.

I think you made my decision.

I'm from the other side of the state, but the company I work for has been doing a lot of business in Philly as of late.

Thanks again!

I would not classify it as a restaurant...sorta a small bar with some appetizers.

My personal opinion is that if non-BLT owners can visit TOWL, then non-BCV owners should be able to swim in Stormalong Bay pool, however, they must sign a contract that they will not pee in the pool or will have to pay a penalty.

I am assuming this would be under an Honor system. or will the water turn blue?

I agree, I would LOVE to be able to visit storm along bay and agree that BCV members are allowed in TOTWL why not us BLT owners be allowed in SAB? I would think that would be a fairly big selling point, and you could limit its use to non crowded times. Provide the ability to call ahead and check if its Ok to get in, etc.
