I'm not really looking for perks to be free (since that just means "paid for by MFs"), but, now that they have the RFID mugs, what about a refillable mug that will work anywhere on property (resorts and parks) for the length of stay? Then, they could even provide a discount refill price for anyone who brought back a mug with a working chip in it.

I'm so glad to find like minded people on here.
My wishlist for perks would include:

Discount on DDP
Discount that can be used against any park pass not just AP
Refillable mugs to use in the parks.

I'm quite a simple bunny so nothing too extreme lol

Default Perks I'd like to see

I agree with the pass discount-when we joined in 2001 we got a 10 or 15% discount on park passes for our entire party - can't remember exactly as it has been a while. If you are only going for a couple of days & not planning another trip in 12 months - it would be nice to get that little bit off. I would love to see the option of soup or salad or dessert on the dining plan with your entree-as I should not eat desserts all the time.

I didn't know they used to do that. One nice perk taken away. I guess if we blog enough and ask enough maybe some of these suggestions will happen.

There need to be better ticket options for members that plan on visiting parks on both coasts. There is no discount on the Disney Premier Passport. Which on its own right is not a very good ticket option, especially if you don’t plan on parking at either resort.

Just an FYI, it wasn't so much a perk taken away as a perk changed. It seems over the lifetime of DVC, there generally has been some sort of discount on park passes, but it changes. If I recall correctly, in 2003 when I first joined the discount was only on length of stay passes. This didn't help me because I was always getting an annual pass. It also wasn't helpful if you didn't want to go to a park every day, or you wanted to buy a 10 day hopper and go 5 days on this trip and 5 days on your next trip.

Several years ago they stopped giving a discount on the length of stay and started giving a discount on the annual pass. While this was fantastic for me, it didn't work for everyone as not everyone goes enough in a 12 month period to justify the cost.

All the perks must be negotiated. I would assume there is a reason why they don't give discounts on all ticket types, although I have no idea what that reason would be.

Not going to happen, but it's nice to dream, isn't it?

Also, as already mentioned, a discount on tickets besides APs would be nice.
Agreed! QS on TIW!
