Rates for the Scotland adventure are 714 Disney Vacation Club points per adult and 678 points per child. Booking of Adventures by Disney destinations with DVC points is not available to certain resale owners. Additional fees may apply. |

those amounts are ridiculous. Next time I buy more points I won't be allowed to do it but who cares I will pay cash to someone else.

Yeah, that's exactly why I don't think the resale restrictions should prevent someone from buying resale.
They do prevent me from considering a direct purchase, though. I mean, why on earth would I pay $165/pt when I can't transfer perks when I sell? |

We are resale buyers from the time before the great diminution. That's almost 3 year's worth of our points. As if.

That's per adult, so I better hit the point rental boards.... 700 x $10/point (I like easy math and I'm counting on a good volume rate) x 4 people ________ That is ONLY $28k for the family!  (better be some damn good haggis for that kind of coin!)

Resale
The only item that a DVC owner would like to use but can't if you are a recent resale buyer would probably be the Disney cruise. Yes I know there are a couple of other things you would lose out but for most of us the cruise would be the only real loss. In my case I have 100 points not eligible but the rest of my points are.
