Wait, PA has a western side? I'm pretty sure it just ends at the Susquehanna, though I recall tales of a strange land where the locals are fond of something called Roethlisburgers.

Can't believe I haven't posted this here - brag moment - feel free to look away:

DS16's high school baseball team completed the season as State Champs! It was a great weekend . Varsity went 29-4. DS16 is just a sophomore, so he got very little playing time with the varsity squad - a total of 6 games - hit .600, started 4 DPs at 3 - no errors. Started all JV games. Hit .355. Started the season at 3B, moved to catcher after about 4 games. Did really good considering he'd never played catcher. A few past balls - but threw out 6 stealing 2nd base out of 8 attempts.

These high school kids had a great year! State Champs in Football, Baseball, Boys & Girls Track, semis in Softball. DS gets rings for Football and Baseball .

Now on to summer baseball.

Went back to stat page. DS threw out 10 of 11 steal attempts. Team went 12-2-1.

Expect he will move back to 3B next season, but the catching was good experience. He may fill-in for the varsity catcher - if he pitches.

John - congrats again to your son and the baseball team ... that is one powerhouse of a school. Catching is tough to pick up but it's great to be able to play multiple positions (especially in a pinch).

Anybody else watch the Tigers/Reds game last night? As a Tiger fan, I'm obviously ok with the win, but I'm a bit upset with the "fan" who interfered with a "live and in play" ball.

Well, I am obviously behind on this thread. So, as a general catch up..Congratulations to all you dads for kids that have accomplished great things, who have participated in successful teams, and who just make you happy in general!

I too had a couple of milestones! DD4 graduated preschool and embarks on our real school next year (at home with mom since we are home schooling). She also had a very successful Dance Recital and Violin Recital.

The Big one though is that DD19 Graduated from High School with Honors (3.5 non weighted). Off to college (and into Debt for both he and I!!!). He turned 19 on the day of his graduation.

Finally, what I really logged into here to do...

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all of you M.O.D.'s!!!!!!!!! You are all great examples of what dads do for their kids.
