I had the same issues as you 5DisneyFans. And I also had an issue with the website advertising a price for water on their comparison page, that wasn't accurate. A case of water at Publix, which is a huge supermarket chain in the south, costs $3.99, not $5.49, which is what's stated on the MHC website. That's not as big a deal to me as the suggestions that wegoshop might be something other than above board.

Here was my experience with wegoshop. I filled out the online order, specifying everything I wanted, including beer, when I was showing up, when I wanted it delivered, and where I wanted them to shop.

Amy called me an hour later, confirming my order, and told me I had to provide cc info as well as scan and email her a copy of my id for proof of id for the beer. I asked her specifically if I had to be there or if they could drop off the beer. She said it would not be a problem, however there would be a 10% gratuity/fee to leave my order with bell services, which in my mind is equivalent to what I would have tipped the driver. After I hung up, I received an email confirming and asking the same. I provided her my info, and she acknowledged receipt and that everything was good to go.

The day I was travelling, I got a call from Amy confirming my groceries, including the beer, were already at BLT. I got to BLT at 2am, and bell services delivered my groceries, including the beer, to my room.

I had not one issue, not one unpleasant interaction, and not one feeling that something was not right during the entire process. In fact, I was absolutely 100% pleased with the professional and friendly manner in which Amy conducted her service with me. I was also impressed with the service I received from GG 2 years ago, but I prefer the option of getting everything I want at discount prices at a store I wanted to shop from.

Sorry bud... the other companies have multi-year track records of outstanding customer service. I'll stick with them; they've earned my business. The "new kids" need a better plan than having someone bash the competition.

But I do want to thank you for the thead title. Gives me a great idea on elimining the need for bathroom breaks while enjoying a fine afternoon at the pool bar.

Default mlcsmith - chill!

mlcsmith - I'm glad you've found a vendor you're very excited about, but I think you're obsessing a bit too much. You've put the information out there, let the marketplace decide.

You are very close to coming across as a shill for your new vendor (which is not allowed on MO) and starting a vendetta against the other two, well-established services (which is just silly).

There may well be an issue with a new Florida law and alcohol delivery and what the two, older, highly respected, well-established services can offer, but all you've posted is hearsay, so let's dial it back a few notches, OK?

Dirk

No, I just think a few folks are making sure what's being told about the vendors MHC is comparing themselves to, are represented truthfully. That's all.

MHC's website is not representing WeGoShop truthfully, and you and mlcsmith, on this and 2 other threads, are being less than truthful with your representations of them too.

Nobody would say a word about you being happy with another provider. Infact, we all are looking for great providers. Just don't want to read things about places like WeGoShop that we know are not true. Not fair to them, or the people looking for a vendor on MO.

i came on here to find a service and was so happy toeasily find this thread. I think the written word is so difficult to interpret and a little sarcasm can easily be misconstrued. i will definitely try wegoshop.com for the first time based on this thread. i like the idea of actually speaking to a human. can i tell them to go to Costco? Do they even have those in FLA? is Publix and piggly wiggly the only options?

if our room at kidani is ready early next Tuesday, will they put it in our room for us? This will be my first time with grocery delivery...goodbye dining plan.

this thread turned out to be extremely helpful thank you very much.

WeGoShop will shop at whatever store you like. We like Publix - best quality for the money. There is a Goodings but I they are more expensive. WeGoShop will leave it at bell services if you are not in the room. We try to be in the room when it is delivered so that we know what substitutions were made if any, but we have never been disappointed.

You usually have to reserve WeGoShop 6-8 weeks in advance so if you haven't reserved them yet it may be too late for a delivery next Tuesday. Amy is pretty good though at squeezing last minute stuff in.

You can tell i am a grocery delivery newbie. I will try Amy but might just be taking a cab to Publix which i think is really close to Animal kingdom.

how busy is early june? Im so used to september and october trips this is going to be a shock to me. Thanks for the heads up. Im assuming garden grocer will be the same?

just an update in case anyone was reading this thread. I called Amy at wegoshop.com. She has openings Tuesday for delivery and she just said that she needs to deliver liquor to a person and expects payment then. she was great and didnt mind talking to me even though she was busy with her daughter. I love that she will go to multiple stores for only 5.00 extra and she will get exactly what we want rather than picking out things from an online grocery list. no shady feeling at all

Whew! I panicked a bit there picturing me and my friend running through the Publix while ringing up a taxi fare outside.
