Default Would you buy the same "home resort" twice?

If the price was right would anyone out there buy the same home resort twice? I am thinking for the price I paid at AK if i could pick up another with the longer contract it might be a better value in the end.

I'm assuming you mean getting a second contract at the same resort?

Done it. I technically have two contracts at BCV, though I usually say I just added on at BCV rather than buying a second contract at the same home resort.

Yep, we bought 3 OKW contracts. Two within a month of each other and another one six months later.

We did the same thing at OKW, added on to our original purchase, and I would do it again if I needed more points.

Done it. Reason is I didn't want one large contract. So I bought a 150 and a 180 at SSR. When I add on, I'll probably add on at SSR unless I can find a steal at BLT.

We figured out what we needed and bought enough points up front so, even at the "right" price, we would have no need to do that.

Of course, these were at BCV and BWV so it was, basically, two contracts at the same place right up front since there is really no difference.

Cheers.

We added on at a different resort because we wanted the booking window at 2 different resorts (BWV and BLT).

AKV is the most beautiful resort in the DVC system and why the resale price is going in the 50's range is a real head scratcher. I even think I saw that someone bought in the 40's. That being said, I don't think it provides the best "value" due to the trend in MF's even at the ridiculously low resale prices (unless your intention is to book the value rooms at Jambo year in and year out). If you are looking for value, SSR with the current MF at 4.73 vs AKV with the current MF of 5.43 would seem to provide more of a value at a similar resale price.

Hubby would buy more of the AK eventho we stay there the LEAST. I like having multiple resorts home advantage.
