It would be nice to have some american favorites with a sit-down to give everyone a break from all those buffets!

It is a little slow, and maybe I like it because we visited the week after 911, and let me tell you, there wasn't a dry eye in the house after the video at the end.

Maybe I'm just getting old...

Maybe it's because I'm less than two weeks away from my first full DVC trip.

Maybe I just need a vacation period....
We really like it too. Even my five year old enjoys it.

We really enjoy the Voices of Liberty and the show in The American Adventure...but we have only eaten at the Liberty Inn once in all the times we've been there. I would love to see a new dining option there.

They have food at the American pavilion? I've never even noticed. I guess it must be unspectacular at best.

I could not agree more. The opportunity for really good BBQ, Kentucky/Virginia ham, Low Country Seafood (imagine a good she crab soup), etc. is there for the taking....

I basically only stop in America for a concert....SAD.

Full disclosure...Epcot is my favorite park, and strolling the World Showcase from late afternoon throughout the evening is my favorite pastime in WDW. This may sound like a rant, but it's simply expressing that I feel the American pavilion could be so much better.

I realize one of the primary features of WS is to highlight architecture, food, and culture of our neighboring countries throughout the world. But can't the same be said for the American pavilion! Being that the American pavilion is strategically located right in the middle of WS and has ample room, it could be so much more!

From a food standpoint alone, I would love to see specialized cuisine based on various areas of the US...what about a really good classic NY steakhouse? Maine lobster, Maryland crab, Gulf seafood, Memphis, Carolina and Kansas City BBQ, classic tex-mex cuisine from the American southwest, Pacific NW salmon, etc. This pavilion should/could be a showcase!

This would also be a great area to showcase American breweries and vineyards!

So MO's, what type of TS and QS restaurant would you love to see here?

Imagine what foods would have existed for the first peoples of North America before European contact. Now use them in modern ways. That's what I was thinking of.
Wheat is native to the north American continent, Native Americans were growing long before the European settlers arrived. As is corn, potatoes, wine, and more things that could be named, so serving wines from California to Virginia would also fit in your thoughts of foods native to North America. Native Americans also ate seafood, so crabs, oysters, clams an oysters could be added

These are just a few things that could make the American Pavillion more interesting. I agree that Maryland Crab cakes, Maine lobster, Southern Fried Chicken, would be a fabtastic addition.

We've been stopping for years at the American Pavilion to listen to the Voices of Liberty, watch the American Adventure and for a bite to eat. We enjoy sitting at the outside tables. I'd love to see fried chicken or crab cakes on the menu.

I also like the idea of a TS restaurant.

I'm sad to hear so many people don't like the American pavilion. It is one of my favorite. I really like all the architecture and the stories behind everything if you take the tour. I love how big it is. Every time we walk upstairs and into the show I consider trying to sneak into those front rooms that are closed off, I’m just dying to see what’s in there. Probably nothing cool, but who knows? That would be a cool place for a nice small TS, kind of like in the French pavilion. I have always said that Disney really screwed us on food. Burgers and hot dogs are very American, but they don’t have to be so crappy. The stuff they serve isn’t even good for fast food standards. I always thought a really good BBQ place would suit the environment of that pavilion, and can you imagine the smell as you walk through that area of WS??? That would be great. And a beer tasting booth would be sooooo good. Not to mention all the great California wines. They could really do a lot more. I like the idea of bison and turkey, being as they are both native, though I’m not terribly crazy about either of them. We do have some great seafood, but being so close to the Japan pavilion I think they have enough of that. I'm so hungry now.....

Heck, they could make this the only place in WDW to get a real Gourmet Burger and Chicago Dog!

I don't think we're all saying we hate the American pavilion. I think we all hate the food at the American pavilion.

Add me to the group that would like to see a Tastes of America food court and/or TS.

I'd like to see regional favorites from all over the country. Including Alaska and Hawaii.
