I started with a BCV 25 point contract. I signed up with an agent at TSS, I wanted 25-35 points at BCV or BWV, and didn't care which use year. It took me several months to get one, but I finally did. (I have sinced added on direct). Unless it is stripped and overpriced, you have to call right away. Sometimes the agents will tip off someone that a contract is about to be listed. Even with help, I missed a couple by not being available to take the call. So it takes a while, but it can be done. If you are already a DVC member, it may or may not be worth waiting for, depending what you want. While Disney now charges closing costs, I think theirs may be lower than through private purchase, and that offsets some of the higher cost. If you are not yet a member, hang in there, you will get one if you stick with it!
