I am not sure about the DVC discount. I asked when I called if one could also apply a DVC discount and they said no you couldn't apply any other discounts with the special price. I know there is a DVC discount for some tours - usually 15-20%.

You are welcome!

I'm with you. For $200+ less (put it on you Disney Chase Visa card for a little more) for a family of 4, I can take a little heat!!

This is still one of the tours that hasn't had any discounts. The $50 off is the first one I've seen.

We did an afternoon Trek last May. It was a warm day but there is lots of shade so it wasn't uncomfortable. The main thing is that there is usually less animal activity but we still saw many.

Then you do have the guided tour of the animals and go on trails, rope bridge, etc. Last, you go to a spot for a safari picnic where you sample African foods.

Peak seasons (not sure when that is) it can go up to $249/$259
The order of the Trek should be the other way around, unless they adjust it based on time of tour. We started with the walk portion and picked up our vehicle just before the open savannah. That's they way the tour is physically designed to be run, so revering the features would make it cumbersome.

This was the same order for our afternoon tour, but it was a year ago.

I wish they would offer a discount on the Wanyama Safari too.

Only conveyed what I was told, perhaps MS is wrong. Not unlikely.

Wouldnl't you know it. It ends the month before our trip. And I am sure all they are trying to do is fill those middle of the day, hot as fire, timeslots, so this probably will not continue on until September.

We had the pleasure of doing this tour with DVC Mike and his lovely bride and I must say, it was a great tour. I'd brand it as one of the best at Disney if you don't take price into account. There were no discounts of any kind when we did it.

During the tour, your guides take hundreds of pictures of the animals and your party and a few weeks after the tour, you receive a CD in the mail with all of the pictures on it.

I'm sure I'll do it again sometime in the future. Leaning over the crockodiles was.... priceless.
