Are you paying for a Savannah view?

Then it might be worth it. For any other view. No it's not worth it.

I love both resorts, but won't stay at AKV without a view!

That's how we feels as well. I think it's so worth those few extra minutes on a bus . We also found our last trip there we did AK much more on days we would get up with no plans or as DW was getting ready Me and DD would slip over . AK has become our Favorite park as we really took our time and explored everything it had to offer.

We are doing BLT in July and not sure how we are going to like that but hey it has to tried at least once.

OK, maybe this is a stupid question, but can you walk to AK park from AKV?

No and I don't understand why they didn't run a nice trail to do so. But it's like a 2 min bus ride

Assume the two resorts are exactly the same number of points. Where do you want to stay? If you would prefer AKV for the same number of points, then it's worth the extra 26 points.

This is a hard one. As much as I like to save points though....my theory is this...now that DS14 is in high school we are only able to get to WDW once every 12 to 18 months it seems. So, I'd go for whatever room / view you want.

There are some ways to stay at AK and spend less points....look at hte value catecory and standard category/

We were point poor on our last trip and booked a standard view at Jambo house. We lucked out and still got a savannah view all though there was no guarantee of that. AK just has so much more to offer in my opinion than SSR.

This was the view from our standard view....there are 4 different species of animals hanging out by our balcony... it is something to consider....

We were thinking about AKV, but it will be 26 more points than SSR. My question is, "Is it worth it?" BTW, we really enjoyed SSR. The one time we stayed at AK Lodge, we loved the hotel but weren't crazy about the long bus rides, especially to MK, which is where we spend the majority of our time.

So convince me, should we spend the extra 26 points and why or why not?
Its worth it all day long.

I own at SSR, too...and WE LOVE SSR. With that being said...DO IT! DO IT! DO IT!

My thought is that there may be a different time of the year where the upgrade could be much higher. To me, 26 points is worth the Savannah. AND..while SSR is awesome and relaxing, AKL is exhilirating! That's just my opinion!
