Your great dinner (it would be lunch for us) ... at the hotel or in the airport area?

Decent sized pool or one of those smaller health club lap pools (that are only big enough for one swimmer at a time)

thoughts on room condition? We are only there a short time, but if it's horrible no way the DW goes in.

We ate at Macaroni grill in the airport. Nothing super special, but good - and sort of tucked away so that we didn't really feel like we were eating in the middle of an airport.

I thought the pool was pretty decent size. If you click on the 'Explore Hotel' spot here: http://orlandoairport.hyatt.com/hyat...ices/index.jsp you can see a picture of the pool. And I think you could order food/drinks to be brought to the pool.

Hope that helps.

Our room was in pretty good condition. We sprang for a Deluxe King (DH really likes the king bed - and we had to get the deluxe to get the pullout couch). It was a very spacious room, but don't know what other rooms would be like.

Thanks to everyone for all your suggestions, after some slick configuring and playing around with the website, I was able to use some of my soon to expire Continental (now United) miles to reserve two rooms at the airport Hyatt.

However, I'm not very confident the reservations will be there for me when we arrive (since the website booking is so hokey) but I only had to use 30K miles to get two rooms. Considering that many miles only buys one round trip fare to MCO (at about $250) and two rooms at the Hyatt is over $400, I think I did okay, not to mention the convenience factor which is priceless.

I LOVE MouseOwners.com!!!

The Hyatt is definitely the way to go for seamless. Can you call to verify your reservation?

When we've cruised, we'd spend the night at a WDW resort and take the transfer from Disney to Port Canaveral, but that gets you in later and still costs the $$$. For two of us, it didn't matter.

By leaving from the airport, you can get to the port earlier and get on ship earlier (depending on your boarding time), which is something I would prefer.
