Default Short and very sweet DS Bday celebration

I've debated about doing a TR, figuring that no one would be that interested, but then figured that I enjoy seeing other people's pictures, so thought I would take a shot at it.

Cast:
DH, me, DD11, DS10 (newly crowned)

Arrival May 11, BCV
Departure (so sad) May 14

Celebrating DS 10th bday, my upcoming bday (21 again) and Mother's Day

Hope I remember how to add pictures.

Stayed overnight in Buffalo, scheduled flight at 7:45, left a little early and with a tailwind, managed to land a half hour early. Having done the on-line check-in, we quickly got our room key (the room was ready at 11:30), quickly unpacked and headed to the bus stop for MK.

Saw this little guy, and a couple of fish/squirrels

Were off the bus by 12:30....score, we have most of the day (this is DH and DS)

Never tire of this shot....

First we stopped at the hat shop at the entrance to the park, looked for some hats for the kids. Second stopped at the Bakery and got some cinnamon buns (love the buns) and some fruit, hadn't eaten much since we got on the plane. The park was pretty crowded....

To be continued....

Can't wait for more.

We all love reading trip reports. Gives us a Disney fix while waiting for our next trip.

Default Still on first day....

So, being as this was DS birthday trip, we tried to encourage him to decide on the things that he wanted to do. Of course, we tried to fit in what DD wanted to do too....since they like the same things (to a point), DD is a daredevil and will do the more of the high thrill rides.

The park was rather crowded and the parade had ended just as we entered the bakery. We couldn't decide which ride to do first, so we headed toward Pirates, commenting that there were a number of eats that we wanted to try this trip that we hadn't tried before (Dole Whips, Citrus Swirls and Mickey Pretzels). We keep forgetting that they are there, or I'm just too cheap to spend the money.....you can decide which you'll believe.

The kids thought that it might be fun to do the Jungle Cruise, since they don't remember the last time that they were on it....being many years ago. The standby line was 60 minutes...nope, get fast passes and return later. Pirates had a standby line of 15 minutes...acceptable, we got in line. (The best part of DVC is knowing you'll be back, so if the line it too long, just skip it and come back later).

This is where I get a little fuzzy, we rode Pirates, Jungle Cruise and walked through Swiss Family Robinson in quick succession.

The one thing that I love about Disney is the dedication to theming of rides....I took this picture at the Jungle Cruise

I took a couple of others, but DD got a kick out of this one....really, Friday is chicken...

I'll post more after I load some more pictures.
