Default How many have added on?

we plan on traveling for a week every 18 months or so in a two bd villa, so with banking and borrowing, our 200 pt contract seems perfect. We can even squeeze in a grand villa every now and then.
But now, as I scour the point charts and calendars, I find myself trying to plan annual passes, TIW, etc

So my question is (before we have even closed )
how many of you have added on and how long were you owners before you did it?
Does added on a different resort help if the 7mo window is so difficult? I'll always need a two bd.

I think most people posting here have either added on, or would like to add-on but can't afford it. It's an addiction.

Personally, started out with a contract that seemed to large leading to my always having banked points. Since then, I've done an add-on and now borrow points. The more I use my DVC points, the more I find new ways to use points.

We added on fairly soon after buying our first contract. We bought direct in November, 2005 150 pts at SSR.
We quickly dicovered even for 2 we liked 1 bdrms MUCH better than studios.
When we go to WDW we go for 8-10 nts because airfare is high. An we found ourselves wanting a trip or two to DLR every couple years.
So in about March, 2006 we bought another 50 pts in SSR for a total of 200 pts. With banking and borrowing we can go about 3 yrs in a row and need to skip a yr to save pts. again. My only regret about doing it so soon after we first bought, we might have added on at VGC which looking back I'd prefer.

We aren't in a place now we can add on so I think we'll just use our 200 pts wisely.

We've added on only once, one year after our initial purchase.

We bought 100 VWL pts last summer and we are waiting on ROFR for 150pts at BWV. I think after this, we should be good for awhile....unless another one comes along that we can't pass on. I like that we have a MK resort and will hopefully have an Epcot resort soon. It will make getting our prime choices so much easier with the 11 month window.

We've added on 2 times via resale. The first 2 yrs after joining I think. Then again about a year later.

I purchased my first 240 at Aulani and within 1 month added on 60 at the same home resort.

We are waiting for a small VWL contract to close...should be any day now (once we hear about ROFR). This will be our first add-on. I can see how this can be addicting.

I'm already lurking around.....I love to travel with our friends and helping put them up will make our visits together more frequent. I bought a 110 akv. Would love vwl around 100 to 150.
