Default Save $50 on Wild Africa Trek

I found this special and thought I would share it.

Save $50 on Wild Africa Trek at or after 11:45 AM - May 29 through August 25, 2012

http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tou...AK.AM.J2101.01

Granted it isn't first thing in the morning, but if you get the 11:45 AM tour it may not be too bad. You cannot combine with DVC discount.

You can use the $50 to purchase sunscreen; lots of sunscreen.

Exactly what I was thinking!

I think the original quote was "Mad Dogs and Disney Nuts go out in the midday sun" until Noel Coward changed it to "mad Dogs and Englishman."

Or as in the Tony Curtis/Marilyn Monroe movie....Some Like it Hot!

Plenty of folks are at the parks day in and day out, all summer long.

Does anyone know the price of these tours? Sounds like a lot of fun.

The current regular price is $199 pp. With the $50 off, it is $149 pp. It is a 3hour tour that starts out with a safari ride where the vehicle gets up close to animals and can take photos. As part of the tour, you also get a photo CD with pictures they take of you/your party and the shots of the animals/experience. Then you do have the guided tour of the animals and go on trails, rope bridge, etc. Last, you go to a spot for a safari picnic where you sample African foods.

Peak seasons (not sure when that is) it can go up to $249/$259

I agree! Thanks for posting... we may do this during our August trip! We don't mind the heat and/or sun!

Fortunately, the walking portion of the Trek is mostly in the shade. As long as there is a breeze blowing, it shouldn't be miserable. While there are hills, it's no more strenuous than walking from Congress Park to Artist's Palate.

But it will be hot, and humid. Blech.

You are welcome!

I'm with you. For $200+ less (put it on you Disney Chase Visa card for a little more) for a family of 4, I can take a little heat!!
