Default What tours have you been on

What "extra" tours have you booked while staying at Disney?

We did the tour at the land, and it was really nice. Has anyone done any of the other tours, and if so, was it worth it?

Ours was really cheap, and used my Disney visa for a discount.

Last March I did the Backstage Magic tour since I was at WDW without the kids. It was 8 hours and I thought it was really good. Not sure if you are familiar with it but it took us behind the scenes at each of the parks and we had lunch at The Whispering Canyon. There is a DVC discount and a Disney Visa discount (which I think had a better deal). Still around $200 but I really enjoyed it and it was a full day. I'm not sure if you have kids with you or not but I believe you have to be 16 to go on this tour.

I've done the Keys to the Kingdom tour 3 times. Once by myself, one with my wife and again with the kids when they got old enough. At Epcot I've done the Segway tour and a Garden tour. I've enjoyed them all.

Too many WDW visits to count now that I live nearby part time, 1 DL trip & 3 Disney Cruises.

We've done:
Around the World at Epcot Segway Tour
Wilderness Back Trail Adventure Segway Tour (Fort Wilderness)
Backstage Magic (Epcot, DHS, MK)
Backstage Safari (DAK)
Holiday D-Lights Tour (Epcot, MK DHS)
Sunrise Safari (DAK)
Wanyama Safari (AKL)

We enjoyed all of them.

I did the Dolphin tour at Epcot last year. It was good and now ever time I go on the Nemo ride I can say that I've been in that water.

We also took the 'Behind the Seeds' tour at The Land, and loved it. Great deal; can't beat the price. (We used AAA for our discount.)

Epcot: Around the World on a Segway (2x)
Epcot: Nature-Inspired Design (2x)
MK: Family Magic Tour
MK: Magic Behind the Steam Trains
MK: Keys to the Kingdom

All of them were well worth the time and money. I would say that Keys to the Kingdom is probably the best "value", esp with a DVC/AP/Disney Visa discount. I also highly recommend the Segway tours although they are more expensive.

I am interested in this tour but I am kind of afraid it will "spoil the magic" if I see all the behind the scenes stuff?????

We've always had good experience with the tours and really like them.

To date:
  • Around the World at Epcot (Segway Tour) - twice
  • Wild By Design (Animal Kingdom)
  • Wild Africa Trek (Animal Kingdom)
  • Backstage Safari (Animal Kingdom)

You can see which park we like best for tours. If I'd remember the Marceline to Magic Kingdom tour this last time (it's new), we would have taken that. I also want to do the Magic Behind Our Steam Trains tour.

I'm iffy on some of the longer tours. While I'd love to do them, they get expensive and I'm not sure I want to devote that much time to them.

Backstage Magic does look great, though!

I've never done a tour at Disney. Still having too much fun with all the regular stuff. Either that, or I'm just too cheap to pay for one.
