Default Would these bother you?

Always interesting to see what things people find inappropriate. Some things are obvious. Others surprise me.

A discussion in another thread got me thinking about the situations below. Without getting into arguments, would these bother you?

1. The holiday parties (MNSSHP/MVMCP) start at 7:00. That's what's on the tickets and website. But Disney always starts letting people in with those tickets at 4:00. Is it breaking the rules / inappropriate to go into the parties before 7:00?

2. Disney often keeps some of the Main Street USA shops open after the park closing hours. In particular, the bakery can be open, with a cast member outside encouraging people to come in and get a snack for the ride home. Is it breaking the rules / inappropriate to buy stuff after stores' closing hours?

Hi. This is my first post over here. It took me awhile to find it since every time someone mentions it (on the DIS) the name gets censored.

But I am a DIS poster as well about to buy DVC.

As for your questions...both of those situations are situations that Disney currently allows. SO I don't think it is inappropriate.

They let ppl come in at 4 on party days and the allow guests to linger after shop/park closing.

I am OK with it if it does not negatively affect others. If at any point doing so would affect others then I may have to rethink my position. However I think Disney is wise and if they decided that doing the above things did negatively impact other people then surely they would start to enforce those things. I dont see how the above could have that kind of impact but if your trying to compare this to the "Fast Pass situation" I can certainly see the negative impact to those returning after posted times. Just my opinion.

This is why I said Grey Area, as I do think he is trying to compare to the Fast Pass situation. The ticket says 7:00, by allowing people in at 4:00 does this not cause longer lines for those who are in the park for the time allowed for their tickets (I guess disney could let them in at 6:55 if they are wanting to be consistent)

Judging from comments on other threads, I would not be at all surprised if we hear from some posters who will steadfastly claim that if their ticket says 7pm, they and their little ones wait patiently outside of the turnstile until dad's Mickey pocket watch says 7pm local time. Similiarly I am sure that these same law and order folks would not step foot into a store after the closing time, even if The Mouse himself was holding open the door.
You know who you are, or at least who you claim to be.

For me, life has many subtle shades. I believe that flexibility is the key to mental wellbeing.

To me this is like taxes. I do have a problem with someone not paying their share or intentionally defrauding the system. I don't have a problem with anyone trying to take the most deductions possible. Likewise, I don't have a problem with anyone following the rules put in place by Disney to maximize their benefit.
